Hillsdale is nestled in the Southwest hills between Barbur Blvd, Terwilliger, and Beaverton Hillsdale Highway. It's residential and sleepy, with houses on big lots. The main drag has all the businesses: long-standing family shops, restaurants, a grocery store, and a great library. In the summer, Wilson High School’s outdoor pool is open to the public and the family neighborhood revolves around it. Southwest Portland is covered in hidden hiking trails, and Hillsdale is no different! Try to find some sneaky staircases as you stroll around the grassy hills.

"Getting out in nature is relatively easy even within Portland city limits, with dozens of parks and greenway ped/bike paths... but these days it's probably fair to be aware that our houseless crisis is at a level we've never seen before, and a lot of homeless camps are nuzzled in these spaces. For safety, and respect, it may be a good idea to avoid being in these areas too early or too late, and probably never go alone."
