Historic homes, tree-lined streets. Alameda inserts its curving, hilly self right inside the blocks of Northeast Portland. It's so lovely, you could just imagine some romantic coming-of-age film there. There are parks in all directions. The neighborhood is made up of impressive, large houses, and is primarily residential. But don’t let the quiet fool you: the neighbors pride themselves on their neighborly connections, hosting block parties and street clean ups whenever they can. Somehow, all the vibrant NE Portland commercial strips are close by, including both Alberta Arts, Fremont St., and the Hollywood District.
