In Goose Hollow, you’re basically downtown, but you’re not quite downtown. You’re just a little elevated, just a little further west, removed from the bustle. It is quintessential Old Portland. This neighborhood acts as a sort of inner gate to the West Portland Heights, and is made up of historic brick apartments and colonial houses as well as new condos and businesses. Close by are Portland’s PGE park, our baseball and soccer stadium, Portland’s unbelievable InternationalRose Test Garden, and the Japanese Garden.

"Getting out in nature is relatively easy even within Portland city limits, with dozens of parks and greenway ped/bike paths... but these days it's probably fair to be aware that our houseless crisis is at a level we've never seen before, and a lot of homeless camps are nuzzled in these spaces. For safety, and respect, it may be a good idea to avoid being in these areas too early or too late, and probably never go alone."
